We Can Bmore partners with community leaders and residents who identify areas in need of beautification. Wheelabrator employees join community volunteers to clean neighborhoods across the city.

Madeira Street Garden

We Can BMore volunteers teamed up with State Delegate Chanel Branch for a community clean-up at the Madeira Street Garden in East Baltimore’s C.A.R.E. neighborhood.
November 2020

Hollins Roundhouse Park

We Can Bmore volunteers worked with Hollins Roundhouse Association to clean up Shroeder & Lombard Park. The community received a grant from the Southwest Partnership to fix up the park which allowed for the purchase of local, native shrubs, and the power washing and repainting of the park bench. Wheelabrator supported the landscaping, labor, volunteers and cleanup efforts in and around the park. Together, we cleaned weeds, trash and debris and worked to plant and maintain more than 30 chokeberry trees.

November 7, 2020

Mount Clare Community Council

On November 7th, We Can Bmore partnered with Mount Clare Community Council, an organization committed to enhancing and beautifying the South West Baltimore neighborhood and to putting an end to litter. Volunteers emptied entire dumpster of illegally dumped trash and helped clean the neighborhood.
Summer 2020

City of Refuge  

On July 25th, We Can Bmore partnered with City of Refuge, The Mission Continue’s Baltimore Platoon and community residents and volunteers to clean and green the area surrounding City of Refuge’s Victory Garden. Our Green Ambassador’s helped to water, weed and seed the garden. From our collective efforts, 2,340 gallons of trash were removed from our streets.

Mount Clare Community Council

On November 9th, We Can Bmore partnered with Mount Clare Community Council for their neighborhood cleanup. Our community members were able to remove over 2,340 gallons of trash from the streets.

Rosemont Neighborhood Improvement Association

The Rosemont Neighborhood Improvement Association participated in the Mayors annual Fall Cleanup on October 26th. Due to their efforts, nearly 5,000 gallons of trash were collected.

The Family of Ellwood Park

The Family of Ellwood Park and We Can Bmore joined together on September 28th to cleanup and cookout! Community volunteers and team members collected over 2,340 gallons of trash.

On September 24th, we kicked off Upton’s first cleanup with Union Baptist and Gilman School. During this cleanup, over 2,340 gallons of trash were collected.

On September 14th, Druid Heights was cleaned with the help of our devoted community members. That day, 2,340 gallons of trash were removed from the streets.

We Can Bmore along with Brooklyn Homes Tenant Council gathered on August 24th to clean and green their neighborhood. In Brooklyn alone, almost 3,000 gallons of trash were removed.

Lakeland Community Association Partnership

In Spring and Fall 2019, We Can Bmore partnered with Lakeland Community Association Partnership to clean and beautify their neighborhood. In Lakeland alone, we’ve collected 4,680 gallons of trash.

Cherry Hill Safe Streets

In the Fall of 2018 and Spring of 2019, We Can Bmore and Safe Streets Cherry Hill rallied to support and promote cleaner, safer streets. During both seasons, a total of 4,680 gallons of trash were collected by volunteers and community members.
